The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley
 (HRATV) is a local non-profit organization established in 1954 for 
Human Resource Management professionals in the Treasure Valley area. 
Currently, there are currently over 400 members of HRATV, representing 
many of the area's employers. Members are invited to participate in 
monthly membership meetings during which a speaker discusses relevant 
topics for HR professionals. There is also a monthly newsletter provided to the
 membership, containing pertinent articles and HRATV announcements. For

HRATV is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
 SHRM is the world's largest association devoted to human resource 
management. Representing more than 210,000 individual members, the

 the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an 
influential voice, the Society's mission is also to advance the human 
resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential 
partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. Founded in 
1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters within the 
United States and members in more than 100 countries.  There are two SHRM Chapters in Idaho, HRATV and the Snake River Chapter in Twin Falls.  The state Chapters are supported by the Idaho State SHRM Council.
