The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley is pleased to present the October program, "Can Good Leaders Truly Motivate Others?" presented by Paul Terry.   It’s often been stated that the quality most desired in senior leaders is the ability to motivate others. Can leaders really motivate others? What is the leader’s role in motivating individuals or teams? In this session we’ll discuss the three primary elements that enable sustained high performance and the leader’s role in helping team members consistently deliver their best work to achieve results.

Paul founded Paul Terry Consulting Group in 2013 after 20 years of working in corporate HR and with the HR consulting firm, Global Novations (now part of Korn/Ferry International). He enjoys helping organizations align their business strategy with their people practices and systems.

Paul helps leaders around the globe to develop their team management and strategic leadership skills. He coaches individuals to identify concrete action plans for sustaining and accelerating their levels of contribution. Paul has led numerous engagements with clients in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, food and beverage, insurance and technology industries. His work has included helping clients with solutions in competency design, assessment, selection processes, training program design, talent development, career pathing, and leadership succession strategies.

Prior to joining Global Novations, Paul was a division Vice President of Human Resources at Emerson. He also spent four years with ExxonMobil in a variety of human resource roles.
