The Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley is pleased to announce the February Professional Development and Networking program "Culture of Engagement: Why/How to Build Passionate, Engaged Teams" presented by Joshua Evans. Each of us began our careers from an engaged, passionate place. On our first day of work every one of us was excited and intrigued. However, with such demanding roles in today's world, it can be easy for us to lose sight of the meaning behind our work. The day to day minutia and seemingly endless stream of tasks can feel overwhelming and frustrating. Recent Gallup Poll Studies have estimated that on average, only 29% of an organization’s staff are truly engaged in their work. This correlates to 71% of people at any given organization being disengaged. It is estimated that disengaged employees have cost US companies over $450 billion a year. What if we could help our teams to re-engage in their work? What would be the impact on our organization if we could help every person find meaning and purpose in their role? In this talk learn how it's everyone's responsibility to manage influences, direct perceptions, and build aspirations that create organizational cultures with fulfilled employees and truly engaged teams.
