Board Position - DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION DIRECTOR
Bylaws Requirements and Duties:
- All Board members: Must be a regular member of the association in good standing at the time of nomination of appointment and an active member in the association for one year.
- All board members: Attend membership programs and at least 80% of monthly Board of Director meetings.
- Term of office is one year.
Specific Duties and/or Procedures:
- Research relevant topics and provide content to our members, focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
- Coordinate with Programs and/or Networking to arrange for speakers to present at member events.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Human Rights Certification offered via the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, as a cohort for a shared learning experience.
- Promote and support the annual Blue Sky Institute’s DEI Summit to HRATV membership, to include facilitating the process to attain CE credits for attendance.
- Once each year, write an article for the HRATV newsletter.
Other:
- Promote SHRM membership through various methods (i.e., newsletter announcement, market to prospective new members when contacted by them, etc.).
