You and Your Employees' Brains on Stress and COVID-19
Thursday, April 23rd, 12pm to 1pm
During this presentation, participants will:
1) Learn how our brains are responding to the associated changes and fear surrounding COVID-19.
2) Learn how to recognize stress in yourselves and others.
3) Take away techniques to help reduce the negative impact of stress.
4) Understand how to work better within the new reality of working from home or working from an environment which may now be significantly restricted. This includes dealing with how to keep your staff productive and accountable.
5) Explore communication techniques which can decrease stress in this virtual environment.
The last 10-15 minutes will be spent addressing questions from the attendees with suggestions from Carol.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER
Carol Barkes, CPM is a neuroscience-based conflict resolution expert, mediator, peak performance specialist and best-selling author. In this capacity, she serves as the Mediation Director for Idaho’s Fourth District Court, is an Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisor for the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA, an adjunct professor for BSU and CSI, and is a sought after keynote speaker with a thriving private practice through which she provides training, consultation, facilitation, coaching and mediation for some of the world’s most notable organizations. In Idaho, she has worked with Winco, HP, Micron, US Forest Service, Kount, the Bureau of Reclamation, Canyon County Highway District, and many more. She has spoken at the United Nations and has been seen on Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and is regularly quoted in a wide variety of publications. In 2018, she co-authored a book, Success Breakthroughs, with Jack Canfield, known for authoring the Chicken Soup for the Soup Book Series and was a 2019 Idaho Woman of the Year.
